"He inspires me and thousands of other students with his commitment to real reforms in education, health care, and the economy."

Students mobilize to support Newsom's gubernatorial run
Students at California college and high school campuses are demonstrating early support for San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom's anticipated run for governor. Mayor Newsom, who has organized an exploratory committee, has already received the backing of California students.
Students at UC Davis have formed a chapter of the statewide Students for Gavin Newsom organization. Chapters are emerging at university, college, and high school campuses across the state. The organization seeks to encourage Mayor Newsom to run for governor. Should Mayor Newsom declare his candidacy, Students for Gavin Newsom will operate as the student wing of the campaign and work alongside the official campaign organization.
